Hello and Welcome!

Brisbane Shotokan Karate is a Dojo of Shotokan Karate International Australia (SKIA). We practice traditional Japanese Karate (restricted contact), as passed down from Kanazawa Soke (10th Dan), founder of the Shotokan Karate International Federation. We are also affiliated with the Australiasian Federation of Traditional Karate and Kobudo (AFTK), and participate in interstate and international Karate seminars and competitions.

We train at the YMCA Acacia Ridge Community Centre on Fridays and Saturdays. All adults and children ages 8+ are welcome. Sensei Tarun Rajan is the Resident Instructor of Brisbane Shotokan Karate.
