Profile

• Began training in Jyoshinmon Shorin-Ryu Karate in India at the age of 9 - graded up to 3rd Kyu.
• Started study of Shotokan Karate at the Epping and North Sydney dojos in Sydney, NSW
• Graded to Nidan (2nd Dan) under Murakami Shihan (SKIF Chief Instructor) in 2022.

As a dedicated Karateka, Tarun has represented his dojo, state and country in competitions over the years.

Tarun continues to compete, but his passion lies in teaching, as evidenced by his regular instruction at both the SKIA North Sydney and SKIA Epping dojos in Sydney

Tarun is committed to the growth of his students, so he established the Brisbane Shotokan Karate dojo in 2023 to instruct and help inspire students in the study of traditional Shotokan Karate.  He holds certifications in first aid, community coaching from the Australian Institute of Sport, a current Blue Card, and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
